Guest guest
Hi all, It has come to my attention that some people took somethings I said about drugs the wrong way. I want to clear up any misunderstanding. If your Doctor tells you to take a drug, by all means find out the side effects and take it. Talk to the doctor if you have side effects and ignore anything, ANYONE on this list says as we are NOT doctors. BUT you MUST follow the doctor's instructions carefully. If the doctor who gives you a new medicine is NOT your neurologist, question them about it's interaction with the meds you are taking and your MSA symptoms. Learn the possible problems you may face and decide WITH your doctor which problems you can accept. I have always preached " Work with your doctor " . That should be the first rule of MSA care. It IS in the letter I wrote originally and I thought it was going to every new person on the list. Certain drugs are bad for most (but NOT every) MSA patients and they should be mentioned ONLY with the warning that they can hurt many MSA patients, BUT there are exceptions to that rule. That is why you should ALWAYS discuss new meds with your doctor. Listen to your doctor! Take care, Bill Werre
