me too. Its ridiculous. I am not cold in the summer. But have to keep heat up

in fall and winter and spring. My poor famiy, it is like coming into a cave

of them with wraps and hats and snugglies all over the place; my staff and

family run 'warm' all the time, like little furnaces. I have to keep my

offices at comfort level for others, so I am freezing all th time. like

Vitagal, once I get cold, taht's it, really, hard to warm up again. Weird.

love,

The sun is shinning and there's a slight breeze. I have on slacks and a

tee-shirt (no jacket). It's supposed to be in the 70's this weekend...I might

hop on my bike and take a spin in the neighborhood shortly. Ahh, no snow down

here in Texas (braggin' a little bit).

Ya'll stay warm!

Actually, I wouldn't mind the white stuff but I want conditions like 1)

snow on the grass and roofs only, 2) no snow on concrete, roads,

driveways, sidewalks or parking lots, and most importantly 3) no freezing

allowed. But I haven't been able to convince the weather gods of my

conditions yet. I think it must be that all or nothing mentality.

Terry: even at 300 lbs, I was so not able to tolerate the northern cold

weather. The cold would be so painful, it was immobilizing. Even after get

into a heated place, it would take so long to warm up. I moved to Florida

before my surgery and my whole life changed. Now at a low weight, visiting

up north is a summertime only thing. I went over Labor Day and was

miserable. Florida is my paradise.

Pre-op I wouldn't wear jackets, even in the winter (and I lived in

Rochester, NY - very cold and snowy). I was rarely cold though. Once I

lost the weight, I couldn't warm up in the winter. I was always freezing

(still hated wearing heavy coats though). Now that I'm in Florida, I still

get cold easily when the sun goes down, but during the day in the bright

sunshine I'm usually good. The minute I hit the air conditioning I'm in

trouble though. BRRRR!

My sits at his computer in his undie shorts while I am at my

computer in this Blanket thing with legs and arms. Also my sheepskin

slippers and socks. And I am still cold. He says a good temp is

65....for me it is 78! We never agree. Fortunately I have found

something that is better then an electric blanket for the bed. We have

an electric matress pad with a down comforter and at least three of the

dogs. LOL That works for me. He turns on the fan, I turn up the mattress

pad and we each cuddle a dog or two.

Lori, you are MY kind of girl! Those are exactly my conditions for snow.

Also....there can be snow in pictures. LOL Right now the Pacific

Northwest is DROWNING! I headed out for a Christmas party tonight....got

a half an hour down the road and turn around and came home. I was

getting washed off the road. Oh, well. The ski lodges are happy tonight!

I vote for a cutey AND an electric blanket. Might as well have fun while

getting warm.
