Guest guest
Hi everyone, I just went to see my dr. about being cold all of the time and getting " icepick " migraine headaches. My face and head constantly have this cold pain in my bones. She took a blood test and said my SED rate is high. She gave me some medicine to see if it takes down some of the inflammation and will do an arthritis profile on tues. She wants me to see a neurologist. These headaches are practically daily for the last couple of months. Anyone else have any experience with this? I am 35 years old and had my surgery 5/15/01. Lost 130 so far. Thanks! a
Guest guest
a, I wonder if you need glasses? It's a fact of life, that as we near 40, our eyes begin to degenerate. Having had WLS, I have no idea if it could possibly happen sooner or not. I am 37 and began to have problems with really bad headaches in my forehead at about 34. They were pretty extreme. At 35, I finally broke down and went to an eye doctor. I had been taking so much Tylenol. Yes, I needed reading glasses. Now I need to go again because I feel like I may need stronger ones. You can buy reading glasses over the counter but I prefer to know exactly what my sight is. After the fact, I began taking Beta Catroten hoping to improve my sight. Being cold is something many of us deal with. I have no real explaination but I do have a theory. If my iron or B-12 is down, I seem to be cold no matter what. I know nothing about arthritis. Guest guest
All the other symptoms aside, do you use a lot of Equal (aspartame) products like diet soda? That could lead to the headaches, as some people have that reaction. The other symptoms sound more serious, but likely treatable, along the lines of fibromyalgia or such, which means that a neurologist is a good idea. If he doesn't give you any relief, ask for a rheumatologist. ~~ Lyn G > I just went to see my dr. about being cold all of the time and getting > " icepick " migraine headaches.
