Guest guest
Hello everyone: I had my RNY almost 5 years ago and went from 286 to 176 lbs. I maintained this weight for about 2 years but during the last 2 years my weight has increased to 196 lbs. I have also developed Diabetes and have started dumping after meals. I keep reading the posts that say to increase protein. I'm not sure exactly how I should do this. Are protein supplements necessary and if so what type and how much, or should protein be increased in the form of food like meat and cheese? In looking back on my daily diet it doesn't appear that I am eating enough protein. I think I stay away because most protein is hard for me to digest. I need help with a plan for daily food consumption and to begin to reverse my weight gain. I'm starting to panic. I also read somewhere that protein drinks should not be mixed with milk. Is that correct? I have many, many more questions but will wait to ask them. Thanks, Murielle
