Belinda, remember when kids were little and doctors offices and schools had

growth charts to compare what kids should be able to do at certain ages. To

me, disabilities are kind of measured the same way only in reverse. Medicare

uses criteria like that, so if a person can do something they qualify for

this or that. I can't walk or stand very long, yet I can transfer myself

easily if I have something to hold on to. (Reminds me of when the kids were

little - our son a 9 mos. could pull himself up and as long as he got hold

of a knob, handle or shelf, he was all over the place, yet he was 15 mos.

before he did anything on his own. Our daughter was much slower on motor

skills and just took off walking.) Doesn't always make sense. Dodie in MO

I can relate to this analogy. Everything in reverse order only now we are

bigger and more difficult to manage. I had related to that at times

I felt like a 2 year old... maybe I have digressed more since then.
