Guest guest
Hi all:..Many,many of the meds that folks are on should have warnings on them re:sun exposure..you can recieve a very severe sunburn and/or damage to your eyes. You should stay out of the sun and when outside, riding in a car and the sun is out wear sunglasses. Ask your pharmacist to give you information on all your meds(which they should have done in the first place) and it will note any precautions re: the sun. Love and good thoughts to all Janet
Guest guest
Some one on the message list had asked about sun light causing problems with RP. I do know that I can't be in the sun for very long or I will get very sick. People with other auto immune diseases, like Lupus and MS, are told not to be in ultraviolet light or heat, as it can cause a problem. Anyone who does spend time in the sun should wear a good sun block. My husband had Melanoma about 10 years ago and he is religious about using sun block now. Fortunately, his was in the early stage and since the surgery he has been clear. He has frequent checkups and I watch for any new signs on his skin.Marilyn
