Guest guest
Dear : Thank you so much for sending me the two reports that I missed. They are very timely for me as I have had scleritis recently. I actually met Dr. up here at OHSU in Portland when I was in to see Dr. Rosenbaum for inflammatory problems related to RP. At the time, I wasn't having a problem, but it flared up later in my eyes. I have the scleritis under control now, but developed glaucome in my left eye from the prednisolone drops. Now I am working on that problem! The articles were very timely and I sent a copy of them to my rheumatologist up at OHSU just to make sure he knows what I know. I had just seen him and he hadn't read the articles written by Dr. . I have just started on Dapsone at 25mg the first week, and building up 25 mg/week until I reach 100 mg and then we will see if I need to increase. I hope I am one of the ones helped by Dapsone as I prefer that to methotrexate, but I am open to taking just about anything now. My self denial phase on this problem is GONE. You have done such an excellent job on these reports, , and I am so grateful for them. Thank you!!
Guest guest
Hi, Lucy here. You mentioned Dapsone. That is all I take for RP. I am on 50 MG a day and feel as if I am in remission. I got off of Prednisone in September of 2000. (After it caused me to have Diabetes!) Once I got off of the prednisone, my sugar went down and I got on the pill Glucaphage, one a day; I have been on at least 25 MG of Dapsone from the day I was diagnosed with RP. I have had no problems with it at all. Love and Prayers, Lucy in NC The Support Report > Dear : Thank you so much for sending me the two > reports that I missed.
