I may just have to do it with a pen on the copy. I even went to Ask Jeeves. Now that is confusing. UGH!!!!! May have to change my grand child's name. The only way I've found to do it is to produce it in Word, using Insert / Symbol and then choose the appropriate letter / accent which I insert into the Word page. I then copy it into my email - é - and voilà, there it is. There may be a simpler way, but I've found that this way works!
