Guest guest
I need some input from the group..... I am concerned with some members that are waiting tooo long before going to their doctor...Yes, I'm the worry wart...LOL and I do worry about all of you.. Please for the newbies, if someone could help set this straight. It is my opinion that you need to see your dr if: you are having redness and swelling of the ears vasculiltis of the leg with pain, swelling etc. (or any where else) any throat problems, swallowing, coughing.....anything that is different and won't go away eye pain or redness hearing loss or inner ear pain. chest pains. nasal flaring. I know there is more and the list can go on.... Some of us have been given the okay from our dr to increase the pred when we know a flare is starting and most of us do that I think. Although I never like to increase it, I do at the first sign. I hope I can get some input here on the importance of stopping a flare at once so no more damage is done...Call the dr..!! don't just think it will go away and wait it out. There is no need of anyone to be in pain and suffereing when you can get help. If I am off base her, please let me know. I'm just worried about you guy... hugs
Guest guest
Dear , thank you, you are absolutely right. I have an open presciption for Pred. Wanna talk about what I dummy I am???? Last time I went to doctor he said boy you really need your ears cleaned. Now, I had so many meds on my mind, other problems, blood work, etc. So I get home, husband says ok what about your doctors appointment? Told him all, then husband says, why didn't he just clean your ears?? Dah, doctor caught me without thinking. He's got a lot of his own problems right now but I'll go back first of this week and get my ears cleaned. Besides he has a great PA who is very interested in RP and will take him all the info. Of course after thinking about it that could be good, after their cleaned maybe he can see more. For new people....find a doctor you can relate to, this may take awhile to find the right one but well worth it. Print out the articles on the Support Report (thanks Diane) and take them to him/her. Better yet, if you can't get an appointment for a few weeks fax or mail it to them. Hopefully they will read it and understand. Best Wishes to you All....Sue
Guest guest
, Thanks this is a good idea! Great post! It is very important to get to the doctor or start taking and or up the pred. Doctor's want you to call them at the first signs. Don't wait! It will only get worse. I always hope it is my imagination and it will go away. I doesn't so I call the Doctor then. I will try to take your advise as you are definitely right! Lots of Love Glenda --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
