Saw this thread and thought I'd comment as an " innocent bystander. " This is just my take on it. Jane wrote that she drinks with food, and that she knows others who do, too. I understood that she takes very tiny sips, to help food go down. le wrote back to that thread about people not following protocol--obviously this was directed to Jane. le is following the program to the letter and it offended her that in her view someone was giving pre-ops advice that was " off program. " She also said that water makes you eat more. This I think is the " misinformation " part that Jane perceives, because she says that water actually makes you eat less. (I actually have no idea which is true.) Jane wrote back about the throwing up part, which le has shared has shared has happened to her. Now, I think we can all agree that it would be great to follow the program to the best of our ability, just as we all knew growing up fat, that if we could just starve ourselves, we could look like our skinny counterparts, who, fair or not, could eat whatever they liked. Life isn't always fair, or even. Some throw up for no apparent reason, others only if they are " bad. " Others probably are bad and luck out without throwing up. In the end, though, aren't we all just doing what we can to fit in better in a thin-obsessed world? I am worried about the no water with meals because I have a problem with swallowing oftentimes. I also am wanting to follow the program 100%. Sometimes our wants and deeds end up at cross-purposes, despite our best efforts. I for one never live up to the standards I set for myself, but I still have the standards as my goal. I guess, bottom-line, we are all in this together, trying to do the best we can, and none of us is all right or all wrong. Sensitivity can go a long way. I hope I didn't come off as " Mother Superior " --not my intention! Love and miss you all, Debbie in IL Still approved for Chris Still don't know about me
Guest guest
Jane: Really this is a really good group. We get along most of the time, but we do get a few times we don't see eye to eye. We can't always agree, can we? You''ll find that this group is very helpful. Just ask a question and you'll have more answer's to the question and if they don't know the answer they go out of their way to get it for you. Take Care Vera
