I had a 3 piece Le Fort 1 (Upper Jaw) surgery just about two weeks

ago. My upper lip and around my nose is still swollen and numb,

which makes my face look deformed. Has anyone else experienced

this? How long does it take to go down? Is there anything I can do

to expediate this?

All of the other swelling is gone!

Thanks! LMF

I am 17 days post op and still have swelling around my nose and

cheeks as well! My OS says major swelling goes down by week 3 and 4,

but there will be residual swelling that may take months to finally

come down. I feel deformed too, although my family says I just look

like I'm chubby in the face.

Hi! I had upper and lower six weeks ago, and am still fairly

swollen. My friends say that they can't see any swelling, but I can

definitely feel it in my nose, upper lip, and cheeks around my nose.

My surgeon told me that it should mostly be gone by the 12 week

mark. I haven't done any special to make it go away, but it's not

that bothersome at this point. Good luck!
