Guest guest
OKay, TT and Brachioplasty set for This Thursday. I'm having a brain freeze and need some help. PS says to eat only liquid/soft foods for the first week or two and doesn't want any straining to have a bowel movement. Please refresh my memory about what I should go out and stock up on so that I can have it available in the house. Thanks, Deb

Thanks, Deb > ********************** This is the first I've heard of a PS limiting the types of food post- op, but maybe it's so you don't strain going to the bathroom. This was a major concern of mine after my abdominoplasty because I'm almost always constipated, and I remember well Sue B's experience after her PS (thanks Sue:)). So, I made sure I took peri-colace and Metamucil every day post-PS, whether I needed it or not. I still didn't go for the first 5 days, but as I didn't get that painful bloated feeling, I didn't have to push or strain either, so it worked. As for soft foods, all I can think of is fish, cottage cheese, maybe chili, soup...just some ideas. Good luck with the PS! You're gonna love it! in NJ open RNY 8/99 306/164/whatever TT & lipo 11/19/02 breast reduction under appeal
Guest guest
I took 3 stool softeners for MONTHS after my tt. This had come highly recommended by other post-ops and boy am I glad I listened. It isn't even just that you don't want to strain....but in my case I just didn't even have the muscles to do it with..........and I don't even think I had any muscle work done!!! P. Guest guest
Oh wow, oh wow... That is REALLY great. I am so envious. I just posted a shorty on the BB rings and was thinking to myself that on me as my body is now, the BB ring would disappear into regions unknown and the nipple rings would hang down halfway to where the BB should be! May I ask, how much do you weigh now? Did your Dr. go by weight or BMI? How long did he ask you to be weight stable? Do you by any chance have UHC insurance? What a fantastic Christmas present! Can't wait to hear your experience. Good luck for an easy surgery and recovery. Green smiles, Vicki A. > OKay, TT and Brachioplasty set for This Thursday. He said it was easy on the digestive system and was full of protein. Dawn Soft Foods > OKay, TT and Brachioplasty set for This Thursday. I'm having a brain freeze > and need some help.
