Guest guest
Because I believe that the only truly dumb questions are the ones that never get asked----- I have heard Bell's Palsy mentioned a few times in different posts. I had this in 1966 so I'm intrigued as to whether or not there is a connection. How many other people in the group have had an episode of Bell's Palsy? Is there a known connection? I am confused about what type of cartilage RP attacks. Because I have degenerative disc disease in my spine I did ask my rheumatologist if it could be connected, and he said no. He said that cartilage is totally different from the kind that RP attacks. I'm confused as so many posts say that RP can and does attack the spine, neck, etc. Some of the cartilage in my spine is just flat and " dessicated " according to the MRI report. So what do others hear from their doctors regarding this? My doctor told me that I should always be aware of what my throat is doing during an ear flare. But, what exactly am I to be looking for? Last time I cut my prednisone, I had so many secretions running down the back of my throat that I was literally heaving. Is this connected? Before I got on med's I used to have a chronic sore throat along with a dry hacking cough. The cough was so bad at times that I thought I might have asthma. Those symptoms have been virtually eliminated with the med's that I take. Last question (there is an end in sight here), and that is what are the symptoms of nasal chondritis? Just wondering if the symptoms I used to have are connected. Sorry for the long post, but these questions are just nagging me to ask them. I have a file full of papers on RP, but I value the input from the group, and the ability to hear what your doctors are telling you.
