Guest guest
Hello. Tomorrow marks two months for me and I believe today is 2 months for Stacey. Checking in just to let everyone know that while I haven't been posting, I still read the site regularly and appreciate the feedback. Progress on this front is good (I had upper moved forward and the lower back each 3mm on 3/11). I'm still pretty numb but I can talk and eat and was cleared today for exercise. No excuses now. There's no pain but I confuse the numbing with swelling. I'm not getting tired anymore which is good. Talking sounds normal but I have a touch of Elvis going on with my upper lip going up on one side. My doc says it's just the uneven feeling coming back. So all's well here. Stacey, if you're out there, let us know how things are across the pond! Your surgery pal, Fran
Guest guest
Hiya, yes it is indeedy 2 months today for me. where has the time gone? I am sorry i havent posted much its just i have recently started a new job in a special needs school which i absoloutley love, and that is takin up a lot of my time. I am pleased to say i am doing really really well. I managed to get smacked in the fist too day by a rubber ball which one of the children threw but i dont think its done too much damage. i just went into a bit of a panic thinkin what it might have done. I saw my friend from uni today who hasnt seen me since about a month ago and she couldnt believe how much betta i look in just a month. she also commented about how much betta i am talking now. I went to see my ortho a couple of weeks ago and he is debanding me on june 10th. I am sooooooooooooo excited. i was worried this was a little early but he assured me the retainer will ensure everthing remains in its right place. ( a nice way to celebrate my 3 month anniversary though i guess). As for my swelling. its mainly still on my cheeks. close up u cant really tell but when i look in a mirror thats quite far away i can really notice it and i still look very puffy but i am sure it will go soon. I am eating pretty much a normal diet now. went out for my first indian tonight since the op which was so nice just to taste something different. i feel like this operation has given me a new start. i have a new face a new job and i even treated myself to a new hair cut. anyway enough about me. how are ure appointments goin with the ortho? can u open any wider now? i can get nearly 3 fingers in which apparently is gettin near average. I hope to hear from u very soon take care happy 2 month anniversary stace
