Guest guest
Okie dokie, We have nine days until Christmas. That gives us two days to diary and see where we're losing the ball, and one week to go on the plan of our choice. My suggestion is that we post our daily journal and others can comment and give suggestions. We can also post what our plan for the week will be. These should be posted so we are accountable. I am a bad journaler and a big fat liar when it comes to food, so this will be especially challenging for me. (hmmm...could that be one reason I was always on a diet and never lost weight?. hmmmm.) Any other ideas on how to do this? If people on the board are bored, we can start to post to a list of buddies privately, otherwise we can just go to the board. Any ideas on posting? I figure since my eating has been hellacious, I will lose at least 2 pounds from salt and water loss. My personal goal for the week (plus the two journal days) will be three pounds. Any more, which I doubt, will be an early Christmas present. This is just brainstorming here, so jump in quick with your suggestions!!! Well, here is my embarrassing journal from yeaterday: 7am 2 cups coffee while on OSSG board 8am Made protein drink. Forgot about protein drink. Ate 1 inch of half bagel with calcium pill. 8:30 To the gym. 30 minutes recumbent bike. 1 hour weight lifting (usually do 30 min. but it was raining and I couldn't take the dogs on their hour long walk) 11:30 I'm starving. Go from the gym to the drugstore on an errand and snitch 3 pieces of Brach's orange jellies. They're gone to my gullet before I even know what hit me. 12:45 Finally, drink the protein drink I left on the counter. 2:45 I'm starving again. Eat a small apple. 4:00 watch movie with my daughter and eat half a bag of light popcorn and 2 cups coffee (usually don't drink coffee, but it's freezing cold storming outside). 5:00 Cook dinner but am in a hurry to get to 6 pm meeting and don't eat. Pick up half a walnut, 2 mini choc chips, one choc covered banana chip and, for good measure, a baby carrot while I'm cooking. 7:30 I'm not hungry, but know my eating hasn't been good. Eat dinner. 1/2 c. white steamed rice with 3 oz. tofu/1 oz pork and 3/4 c. chard in vege broth. 8:30 Watching TV Christmas special with son. Pop a medium jawbreaker in my mouth. I figure all in all, my intake was about 1200-1300 calories, but the composition stank!! (stink, stunk stoonked) No water. Lots of sugar. Too much caffeine. Turn off the TV...I obviously eat when I watch. Not eating, even when food was available, made me hungry and munchy. I'll journal again today and give thought to what kind of plan will work for me. Guest guest
Randy, Don't feel bad if you've already eaten sloppily today. We can use it as a very much needed learning tool. A two day of journal of our current " real " eating will show us where we need to be more aware. (And, after all, when we see others do the same things we do in the closet, it takes some of the guilt and shame out of it. Especially when they and we go on to meet our goals) Forewarned is forearmed!!! I'm cutting myself some slack by adopting a non-judgemental pose during my journal days. I'll start in earnest on Wednesday after I've seen where my weak spots are. Smiles, Vicki A. > Vickie, > This is a wonderful idea.... I've already started mine for today....
