Guest guest
Angel Flight is a Nationwide organization that operates regionally. For example, there are 10 states in the Southwest region served by one main headquarters. If anyone is interested, I suggested you go to their website, www.angelflight.org to look for what's happening in your region. They fly family members as well as patients for a variety of needs/reasons. You must be able and willing to fly in a small plane, however. They are not typically an emergency "medivac" service; instead, they provide ongoing or one-time air service for medical-related meetings, appointments, etc. The pilots are all experienced pilots and volunteers, some of whom fly their own private planes, some of whom rent planes. There is no cost to patient or family. Some of the pilots are also doctors or other medical personnel, but they are there to offer services as pilots, not medical technicians. It's a great organization, and I highly recommend your checking it out, particularly if you do not live near a major airport and need to shorten your travel (by car) time.
