Guest guest
all this talk about thigh lifts and mons work, I am wondering if anyone has had scar revision and mostly, can it be done under a local in the office? i guess it would depend on how extensive it needs to be..... when i had my 6th and 7th surgeries in april and may, well thats when i got the oral thrush and major yeast problems from massive antibiotics and the mycelex they prescribed caused horrific dry heaves. i had just had the staples removed and was nearly fully healed when i spent hours over the bowl heaving till my incision was wide open. it probably should have been professionally closed, stitched shut or something but wasn't. so its a wide flat scar now. sometimes i think it will fad better because of the way it looks but then above it and below it are the old scars from the TT which are narrow and white. sue
Guest guest
Sue, Depending on your insurance policy, scar revision from a medically necessary procedure should be covered in an outpatient surgical facility. When I formed the seromas after my abdomnioplasty, my surgeon was going to do an in the office fix, then he said for the heck of it let's see if insurance will cover it out patient as I would really like to get this all tighter. They called the insurance and were approved over the phone with an authorization number. They have paid it all no problems and it was 2 hours of surgery under a general. I do have great insurance BCBS of ALAbama PPO as administrator for GE (yes, they do bring good things to life!) ) Vicki > all this talk about thigh lifts and mons work, I am wondering if anyone has > had scar revision and mostly, can it be done under a local in the office? > i guess it would depend on how extensive it needs to be..... > > when i had my 6th and 7th surgeries in april and may, well thats when i got > the oral thrush and major yeast problems from massive antibiotics and the > mycelex they prescribed caused horrific dry heaves. i had just had the > staples removed and was nearly fully healed when i spent hours over the bowl > heaving till my incision was wide open. it probably should have been > professionally closed, stitched shut or something but wasn't. so its a wide > flat scar now. sometimes i think it will fad better because of the way it > looks but then above it and below it are the old scars from the TT which are > narrow and white. > > sue
