Guest guest
I am 10 days post op from lower surgery. I bought the " Hospital Kit " from the Zip 'n Squeeze website. It included 5 of each bags (liquid and puree) and a book. I used 1 liquid bag at the hospital when I was really sore, but since I have been home I have not used them at all. I prefer to used a little spoon or a little cup to slurp food it. I also liked the large syringes my oral surgeon provided. Shoots the food right in! I am wired shut with a splint. If I had to do it again, I would not buy the Zip 'n Squeeze bags. valerit1 no_reply > wrote: Please let me know how many and what you used for a surgery and what you think of it. Guest guest
Depends a lot, methinks, on whether your wired and/or tightly banded. I was neither, and I didn't need 'em. But I adored (and still do) the jaw wrap, and recommend it most highly. Guest guest
I, too, bought the hospital kit. I use these bags everyday, and I am not wired. I can eat many things with a spoon, but when it comes to certain liquids or milkshakes, I like to use the bags. They let me get in enough to feel like I have taken in something. Besides, I get tired eating with a spoon and this allows me to rest and not refill a syringe every ten seconds. Iced tea, juice, and in the beginning, runny mashed potatoes. I do, however, have the syrings as well. I like these for hot liquids that I want just a little bit of at a time- like coffee or chicken broth. I am very glad I purchased these along with the cool jaw wrap. That thing was my lifeline for the first three days until I switched to heat. I kept ice on it constantly and it was wonderful to help with swelling and pain. Good Luck on your surgery! ~Cathy Re: Zip-n-squeeze - anyone used it? I am 10 days post op from lower surgery.
