Guest guest
I just posted the diet from for those who couldn't find it. I don't think, actually, I know I can't do an almost pure protein (how the heck do you strain broccoli...do they mean drain the water off or push the sucker through a sieve?) Also I personally am happy at 60 gm or so of protein. However, the diet is a good starting point. I'll add fresh veges (cauliflower, broccoli, spinach). I'll try for the deep greens for iron. I also will permit myself up to 2 pieces fruit for snack. An ideal day might look like this: 6:00 coffee 7:30 whey protein w/ skim milk/water 200 calories 8:15 work out 10:30 apple or persimmon 100 water 12:00 1/2 carton non fat cottage cheese 160 2 c. boiled or steamed veges 75 1 piece whole grain bread 90 water 3:00 orange 100 6:00 tofu or chicken vege stir fry 300 water This would be about 1050 calories. Low, but I think I can keep it down for seven days. The big deal is not munching on simple carbs. Here's what really happened today: 8:00 1/2 c. non fat cottage cheese 1 oz. beef steak (piece of last night's leftovers) 1 c. frozen fruit pieces 1 pot Earl Grey 12:00 1 1/2 c.homemade Eggplant caponata (baked eggplant, onion, garlic, mushrooms, capers, tomato sauce) 1 piece whole grain bread And now here's where I lost it. Arguement with husband followed by Christmas party!!! 1:30 6 Christmas cookies 2 c. coffee 2 candy canes I really, really wanted to lie and cheat here. First I was going to say 2 cookies. Then 4 cookies. Then six cookies and o1 candy cane. But I weaseled out and fessed up to both candy canes and all the cookies!!! 5:15 1 c. spaghetti 1 c. eggplant concoction I have no idea how many calories I ingested. I didn't work out today. My excuse was because I got funny at the gym yesterday and wanted to see how many leg presses I could do in addition to the lunges and leg circuit machines. I did 100 and couldn't walk today. Looked like I'd had an all nighter with an energetic cowboy. Ok!!! I'M READY!!! Starting tomorrow morning seven healthy days til Christmas! Just like the little engine that could.. I think I can.. I think I can.... I think I can...... I CAN! I CAN DO IT!! Rah team!! Smiles, Vicki A. Oooh...ugly visions of in my head. LOL
