Yup, it's still like that! And since writing my note

yesterday, I found out that I may be going to Qatar,

so it's probably better that I don't get my ortho

appointment until after I get back.

We are military too.... I know all about the delays but in a way

it's worse when the OS is almost jumping up and down to get your kid

in FAST!!! And here I thought I was the only one who noticed his

chin askew and funny bite... most people just see his, um, happy

ears : )

What a fortunate mom and child are you two!

If only all kids could have concerned mamas to watch out for

troubles, and all moms could have kids with " happy ears " !

( " )

Maybe like that??

Don't let anybody rush the surgery, though. There are excellent

reasons to wait for growth completion.

I'm not sure which branch of service you are in, but I

am in the Army and have had Ortho surgery and have

been deployed with braces. I did not encounter all

the problems that you have, all in all I have had a

good experience with everything. The only problem

that I have with it is that with each deployment it

prolongs the time that I have to continue to wear

these things. Now that I am two months post-op all I

want is for them to be removed, but I'm up for a

deployment to Iraq. So good luck. Just remember,

never take the first no.

You gotta stay in braces because your mouth isn't ready for them to

come out, or because you're headed for Iraq???

If it's the latter, I'm willing to call my congressman and senators,

not that such will help.

In any case, my heart and my thoughts will be with you there.
