Guest guest Posted December 19, 2002 Report Share Posted December 19, 2002 Bobbie, Sorry I haven't responded but i have been so busy lately that i haven't been able to catch up on the lists.... I had a pretty much " normal " thigh lift 7/31/02...I had a bunch of other stuff done too (see my signature after my name) but I thought it was the toughest thing i did to date....I was very uncomfortable for weeks after. I had the panty like incision and all the way down the leg to the knees. Like said I also couldn't sit down comfortably for weeks after...for about 3 weeks I was either laying down or standing up, and standing caused my feet to swell...I was on percoset for weeks...I went back to work after 5 weeks but really should have taken another week or so off, it was still uncomfortable to sit down for more then 30 mins or so cause the incisions pull like crazy...its almost 5 months ago and there are some days where my incisions (the vertical ones down my legs) still pull and are uncomfortable.... The walker & raised toilet seat is a great idea, so is having a recliner, i lived in mine for about 3 weeks....I didn't have a walker but I would have liked to knock out a few people if I had one !!! Good compression garments are essential.... I am generally pleased with the results..it definitly got rid of the drapes between my thighs but I do have a scar now....my legs look awesome in pants and good without them...I am hoping for some more healing cause the scars are still a bit reddish....Its a great improvement but its a real bitch to live through....
