Carmela, I took Kava Kava for a long time... It really worked well for me for

anxiety. They even have a spray, you spray it in your mouth when you have a

sudden anxiety attack and need fast relief. LOL (Like while driving and

such.) It seemed to just calm me down and I functioned really well on it.

This was just my experience. I had no side effects from it. I took one with

magnisium in it. That has been a few years ago.

I'm not familiar with the other one. So I can't help you there.

I don't even know if there are any side effects from the Kava Kava, but it

didn't hurt me. You might want to do some reading on it.

I am getting terrible leg pains now. Is this from decreasing the pred.?

Didn't know that was a side effect. If it is ....boy I have them now...I

thought it might be part of the Biaxin too. How long were you on the

Minocin.? When I was on it years ago, my dr. told me it would take 6-8

months to start to feel better. Just a thought... I know time flies, and

you've probably been on it that long.

So good to hear from you. Hope everything else is okay. How is work after

having been on vacation.? Hope it is all going well.

Miss you.

hugs

Hi everyone

I had my appt with my naturopath today and he's taking me off the Minocin.

He told me since I haven't felt any difference one way or other that it's

best to stop for now and see what happens. If I start feeling iffy, I am to

call him and we'll take it from there. However, I have to continue with the

Lactobacillus for a while longer.

Meantime I explained to him that I've been having problems with anxiety,

trouble sleeping and some leg pain (still from pred withdrawal). So he

suggested I take Kava Kava and Krillex, has anyone heard of these

supplements or tried them? If so, can you tell me about it? I appreciate

any input.

take care everyone, I pray that you all feel better

love you all

Carmela

Hi Carmela :-)

Hey....all we can do is try, right? At least your naturopath is

willing and wants to know if you feel like you're backsliding after

going off the Minocin. If that happens....and I pray it does not,

have him consider prescribing the name brand Minocin this time...it

might have made a difference as it has in some people. Also, there

are other things that need to be considered too....other organisms

need to be cleared before the Minocin can work effectively in some

cases.

In any case, it is helpful in osetoporosis....a concern all by

itself. I've heard of Kava Kava, but not of Krillex. Sorry that I

can't be more helpful.

Here's wishing you a blue sky and beautiful flower filled day :-)

Hugs, too,

Connie

Hi Connie

I hear what you are saying... should I backslide I will see him again

and go back on the Minocin and ask him about the name brand as I'm

not sure if it's available.... I may have to go to another pharmacy

and/or another type of antibiotic before using the Minocin. I will

keep you posted if I experience any changes. Krillex is relatively

new and developed locally, I think, I mentioned in another posting

that they have a web site www.krilex.com... if it does all it says it

does it should work very well.. we shall see.

have a most wonderful, splendiferous weekend... :o)

love

Carmela

Carmela, Kava Kava is supposed to relax you. Reem

tried it, she says it does relax you, but she finds

antidepressants work better!! I really worry about

supplements. They are not clinically tested and they

are not regulated. At least with regular meds we know

what most of the side effects are. Supplements can

interact with prescription meds and the effects are

unknown. PLEASE be careful - everything has some sort

of side effect. Love Liz
