Guest guest
Randy, I also have had problems with hypoglycemia with my mean blood sugars at 44 and NON-fasting blood sugar of 55. I saw an endocrinologist who said absolutely NO SUGAR to counteract the hypoglcyemia, but to eat frequent HI PROTEIN MEALS and to continue to do the shakes inbetween, and limit the carbs - if so, " dark " complex carbohydrates only. This has helped me a lot. He said in a hypoglycemic episode to have either a few crackers or peanutbutter or protein of some sort, NOT sugar. As the pancreas will excrete more insulin, thus, dropping the sugar down even lower after the " rush " . Just my 2 cents... YMMV. Guest guest
> Cool Whip needs chocolate. It got some today, ! I made a scrumptious dessert for a Christmas party at work, and didn't tell them at first that it was pretty healthy and had a very low sugar count. I took premade Keebler's graham cracker mini pie shells, and made a box of sugar free vanilla pudding, blended in 1/2 tub of Cool Whip lite, and put it in the shells. I topped each with a little bit of crumbled Murray's sugar free vanilla creme cookies. I did the same thing with chocolate sf pudding and Murray's chocolate cookies. Well, they didn't last long and everyone wanted the recipe. =o) Happy holidays!
