Here's my $2c on a product from Sharper Image that is

worn around the neck and is supposed to cool body

temperature 20 degrees. Bought one for Bill ($84) and

it didn't help. Philip, our son, then got him a neck

band which bikers wear. We keep it in the freezer, and

when he goes out in the heat he wears it. This works

much, much better. We have two- one I carry in a

insulated lunch bag. I believe they are sold in sports

shops.

Taking a minute to say that Bill seems to have beat

that UTI infection. He's less sluggish, but is

complaining of shortness of breath. He had an

angiogram in 2000, and cardiologist said his heart was

okay, EXCEPT FOR SHY DRAGER.

I am still waiting for an explanation of what that

means.

The thing I was speaking looks like a little scarf that you soak in waaater. It's got some kind of crystals in it that swell up and boy, it will keep you cool. Sounds like the neck band you're talking about.
