Guest guest
my mom My name is Jenyfer, I am Becky ' daughter from CA. I don't know if I am sending this message back to only personal mail or if it is to all, but I have a question. Have any of the people with this disease ever had seizures? The other day, she had a doozy of a seizure which caused her to be unconsious for an hour. We took her to the hospital and they observed her for an entire 24 hours in which she had another seizure, but she has only had 2 others before that I recall and they have been about 4 months apart. Is this common? I haven't read any other emails where MSA sufferers have had this symptom, however, I'm not on line a lot. Thank you for your response as to help me figure this one out! Guest guest
Hi Jenyfer, There have been many questions about seizures on the list over the years. If you go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/shydrager/messages (you will have to sign in with your Yahoo ID and password) then type in " seizures " and search you will get many messages about them - you will have to search again as it only brings up a few at a time - hit " next " . If you have problems contact me directly. Sorry to hear Becky is having more problems, tell her That I said hello. Take care, Bill Werre ============================ > Subject: my mom > > > My name is Jenyfer, I am Becky ' daughter from CA. > > I don't know if I am sending this message back to only personal mail or if > it > is to all, but I have a question. Guest guest
Hi , That's interesting about your son's abnormal wave pattern not being seizures. When they first saw the brain wave for my son they talked about putting him in the ICU and intibating(sp?) him. I stood there looking at them like they were nuts since he appeared perfectly normal. I'm glad I discouraged them from putting him in the ICU because we'd probably have made things worse. I'm sorry your son had to take all those meds before they figured things out. Thanks for your help Blessings, > My son was also diagnosed at first with seizures, 3 > meds IV 4 times a day. Then after his 3rd video eeg > they changed their mind and said although his wave > pattern was abnormal he was not having seizures.
