Guest guest
Marilyn, The treatment for RP changes from person to person depending on their presenting health problems. But over all, the treatment is the same for both men and women. The only noted difference is that women are more likely to have saddle nose deformities then men. This is thought to be due to their narrower noses. Also, more doctors are adding endocrinologists to the consultants lists for treating RP. Hope this helps R. Is the treatment by doctors for men with RP the same as it is for women? By that I mean do they prescribe metho, imuran? Are their symptoms the same. I assume they get the ear and nose flares, but do they also get the red, swollen joints, the vasculitis and other symptoms that I've seen on the list. Hope this isn't a stupid question, I am just curious about it. Marilyn
