Guest guest
This is not a direct question...more of an observation...I've always hated my smile (think horribly crooked teeth with extra fang-like teeth...ick!). As an adult, when I was finally in a position to afford braces to fix my smile, the ortho flat out told me no one would do the braces without the surgery because it would only make me look worse once the braces were off. Grudgingly, I set out on this surgical path. What's the point you ask? Well, I finally got the pictures back from my graduation this weekend. As I flipped through, I kept saying, " I like this picture " over and over again...it's strange because I NEVER like pictures! In fact there are no pictures of me in existence from the last 10 years. So basically, I've begun to see the light at the end of the tunnel, it's starting to show improvement and I am completely stoked for this surgery so that I can hurry up and FINALLY have the smile I've always wanted. I never thought the braces sores, painful adjustments (think lots of extractions and power chains), not to mention early as all get-out appointments would be worth it. I am still pre-op obviously (I am tenatively sceduled for a July/August date), but I wanted to post this for people who may just be starting on this path and are cursing their decision. You won't be soon enough.
