Dear Rita- Sorry I have not replied quicker..I am having severe back problems

and have been going into NYC to see a doc at Columbia. Anyway--I hope you

have contacted your doc re: the stomach cramps..Pete is on prilosec 20mg

twice a day and this has proved very effective as he does not experience any

stomach discomfort..Pete is on alot of meds but I know the prednisone can

upset your stomach terribly. If Pete " misses " his prilosec he gets very

naseous. It is a pricey med ($104. a week without a prescription plan).Pete

has tried other stomach meds but none seem as effective as the prilosec. I am

not familiar with the colchicine..if someone else is please post info,

otherwise I will go hunting for the info. Rita, this RP can be very scarey at

the beginning but rest assured that you will see that most folks become

adjusted on their own set of meds that keeps it under control. One thing that

amazes me and Pete's doc is the variety and differences amongst the folks

and what works for them. Hang in there and I want you to know you have found

the greatest group of people in the WORLD!!!!!!!! Janet
