This reference is for CG who asked about Dementia and Shy-Drager Syndrome. my husband had dementia along with a diagnosis of Shy-Drager Syndrome, but on autopsy, he was found to have Parkinson's and Lewy Body Disease and not any MSA at all. The big thing here is that Aricept had a miraculous effect on his Dementia, and it seems that this is not an unusual result if the patient has DLBD.
