Guest guest
Hi: Since I seem to have inadvertantly sent a private message to the list, I may as well jump in now with something I've been mulling over for a few weeks. The one other list I belong to, automatically sends replies to the sender ONLY, not the entire list. I have to re-program my brain on this one. ) As you know my mother has PAF. She was diagnosed about 6 1/2 years ago at the age of 73. She had been having problems for 3 or 4 years before that, I believe, but since she was so involved with my Dad and his health problems it was pretty much put down to stress of worrying about him and tired because of looking after him. However she has had PAF symptoms all her life - poor circulation, constipation, low hemoglobin, dizziness and fainting spells. She used to faint when she was a child/teen and was on iron pills pretty much her entire life. She always had low blood pressure as well as a low resting heart rate. I don't think she had dizziness or fainting spells as an adult. I certainly don't remember anything like that as I grew up. She was always so physically active so there were no signs of being tired or low on energy. It wasn't until sometime in her 60's that the PAF started effecting her, though. She looks back and figures the first signs were when she could barely drag herself through the last 9 holes of golf. ) She'd come home so dog-tired, she could barely function so decided it was time to give it up. She was about 68 or 69. I'm just wondering if other PAF people on this list have similar experiences with having had many of these symptoms throughout their life with the PAF coming on later in years? Thanks, -Jane -- ********************************************* When I was younger I could remember anything, whether it happened or not.
