Guest guest
Hi Bill: I've printed what you posted for Fred to see , also some of the other things from Carol and Grace. Fred is getting to the point of not wanting a cure tomorrow, but today. It's a hard illness for all, but you know that oh so well. Take Care Vera ********* Vera, NIH has tested many different " natural " supplements and most have shown no promise. There is currently a study going on with the Co Q10 on PD which may help, but I have seen nothing promising yet. Our biggest current hope other than stem cell research (which will be banned totally in the USA if the Brownback Bill goes through)seems to be the growth factor hormone injected directly into the brain (UK studies). While it is not a cure, it may slow the progression. Remember that most supplements can not cross the blood/brain barrier and get into the brain where it is needed. Taking 400 IU of vitamin E and reasonable amounts of some of the other things like the CoQ10 will probably not hurt and MAY help somewhat. However, megadoses can hurt. Take care, Bill Werre
