Hi, I am new to this group. I have an underbite problem due to a

undergrown upper jaw and slightly overgrown lower jaw. I was

wondering if anyone with a similar condition had difficulties with

speech (i.e. enunciating words) and TMJ pain. So far I've seen

orthodontists, TMJ specialists, and oral surgeons and all of them

have given me the frustrating response that they can't guarantee that

surgery will fix these problems. Can anyone share their personal

experience with me?

I had speech problems, and rarely tmj. I just had the surgery three

days ago. My face is swollen and im not too sure im happy with the

results aeseticly yet and i cant really tell you the effects yet

since im still swollen. Give me a month or two and i an answer you

for sure. The biggest problem i had with speech is that i slured my s

sounds so they sounded like th. Kind of sucked i hope this surgery

helped anyways ill keep you further posted.
