Guest guest
Hello, Rita - colchicine is one of the oldest drugs continually in use, it has been going since the 1700's. It has been used to relieve pain in gout, before I was dx with rp it was thought I had gout, another form of arthritis (also autoimmune, I think) I was put on allopurinol as a preventative and told to take colchicine for pain. (For 2 or 3 days only at a time as it is toxic!!) It did help with pain but then they decided I didn't have gout, and I stopped taking both drugs. O.6 is a low dose, so it probably doesn't hurt at that dose. Hope this helps. Love Liz __________________________________________________
