When we were given a hospital bed, I was sure we would have to find another mattress because it was so light-weight and appeared to be something that would not support Colo's 200+ lbs. Much to my surprise, he loved it immediately. As time went on, his chronic back pain would not permit him to lie flat - having the many adjustments was absolutely essential. For us, the adjustable beds available in many stores would not have been a good choice. Since Colo is gone, the bed has been passed along to two others in our support group...
