Yesterday, DW and I took in the film " Real Women have Curves. " While

the high school girl that is the star was only obese and not MO, it

is still one hellova flic and well worth seeing. Here is the

synopsis:

Real Women Have Curves

Starring: America Ferrera, Lupe Ontiveros, Ingrid Oliu, Sites

Director: Cardoso

Ana (America Ferrera) is a Mexican-American teenager with a

scholarship to Columbia University. But her traditional parents want

her to help provide for her family. While her mother (Lupe Ontiveros)

and sister (Ingrid Oliu) pressure her to work at a sweatshop-like

dress factory, Ana dreams of becoming a writer. (Winner of the

Sundance Festival's Dramatic Audience Award.)

Add to that: her mother is always on her case about losing weight so

that she can find someone to marry her and make grandchildren.
