Guest guest
Sorry for the double posting, I wanted to reach as many people as possible.....help! I am sitting here totally upset!!! For the last couple of weeks I have increased my protein, to the extent that I was even having chicken at breakfast!!! I have been avoiding the scales and I have noticed that my comfortable pants are getting a little 'snug'. This size increase was confirmed when my daughter got here today.....nothing like the honesty from one's children. So, sure enough, I got out the scale and I am up in weight! Prior to this protein increase, I had weighed myself and was up 13 pounds from my goal weight.....today the scale said I am now up 18 pounds. Has anyone else ever found that an increase in protein has resulted in an increase in weight? I use to be successful on WW, and am wondering if that is the route I must take? Any ideas?? To flip to the other page, just yesterday I stopped at Wal-Mart to buy a pair of 'comfortable' pants....one's with no zipper. I picked up a small and looked at it and thought....no, I had better take a medium. Well, I got into the dressing room and the small was too big!!! I was floored, totally!!! When I got out the dressing room I asked the sales clerk if this pant style came in an extra small....her reply was NO, not to many people have that problem!!! I was really p*ssed off and said, all I wanted to do was buy a pair of comfortable pants, then walked away. This is really playing hell with my mind. On one hand, small is too large, on the other hand, my weight is up 'considerably! I am miserable! My daughter just left to meet a friend for coffee, she had on the size 3 pants that I wore last New Year's eve....I said to her, " those aren't the pants that I wore, are they?? " Yes, she confirmed they were.....how come I never looked that small?? Help! My fear is weight regain to the extent of what I use to weigh pre-surgery....surely to God, one has enough smarts to stop the gain long before that happens....right???
