Guest guest
hi, you might want to read my previous posts about glucose just search for my name or use keyword blood sugar or glucose. Mine is a huge issue for me- and part adrenal failure and part pas of " angry brain syndrom " from too much menigitis. in the 30s are you almost passing out- sweaty, nauseated, ycuk beyond belief? In diabetics with MSA it is an issue because they don't feel low blood sugar prob thus run risk of going into coma and seizures etc. I have had seizures from it- you don't want that!!! Where are you located - you could always speak to a doctor i see because we are unique and it might help us get treatment! But do see your physician and and an endo about glucose tolerance test, fasting test etc. best wishes, waverley

I AM NEW TO ALL OF THIS, AND AM NOT SURE I KNOW HOW TO DO A SEARCH? > Mine is a huge issue for me- and part adrenal failure HMMM... and part > pas of " angry brain syndrom " from too much menigitis. MY NEUROLOGIST WAS READY TO DO AN LP WHEN I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL IN TULSA, BUT HE DIDN'T - BECAUSE AN OVER-ZEALOUS PSYCHIATRIST SUGGESTED THE POSSIBILITY THAT I HAD A 'FACTITIOUS DISORDER'. LONG STORY - BUT HE WAS WRONG - BIG TIME. WAY OFF BASE. > > in the 30s are you almost passing out- sweaty, NOPE. I SELDOM PRESPIRE AT ALL ANYMORE. DO HAVE URINE RETENTION ONE DAY, AND OVERPRODUCTION ANOTHER... BUT SELDOM SWEAT. IN FACT, I'M COLD ALMOST ALL THE TIME. MY FEET ARE ALMOST ALWAYS ICE COLD - LITERALLY. MY HANDS ARE SIMILAR - THOUGH NOT AS COLD AND NOT AS OFTEN. ONLY PROBLEM IS... WHEN I DO GET HOT, CAN'T COOL OFF. nauseated, WELL, THAT'S BEEN A PROBLEM FOR QUITE A WHILE. ycuk beyond belief? YEP. In diabetics with MSA it is an issue because they don't feel low blood sugar prob WELL... I DEFINITELY DON'T FEEL IT. I FEEL 'YUCK' MOST OFTEN - AND WHEN I AM FEELING ESPECIALLY BAD, MY BLOOD SUGAR MAY BE IN THE LOW 30S, OR IT MAY BE IN THE 70S OR 100S. JUST NO TELLING. I REALLY FEEL NO DIFFERENT BASED UPON BLOOD SUGAR, AND AS I SAID - IT WAS JUST A FLUKE THAT I'M MONITORING IT NOW. thus run risk of going into coma and seizures etc. OOPS. INTERESTING. IS THAT WHY ONE PERSON POSTED THAT SHE IS CHECKING HER GLUCOSE LEVEL HOURLY? AS I SAID, MY GLUCOSE LEVEL DOESN'T SEEM TO CHANGE BASED UPON DIET. SEEMS TOTALLY UNPREDICTABLE - WHICH WOULD FIT MY AUTONOMIC NEUROPATHY DIAGNOSIS. > > I have had seizures from it- you don't want that!!! NOPE. DON'T WANT STROKES EITHER, BUT NEURO-OPTHO SUSPECTS THAT IS HAPPENING FROM ATYPICAL MIGRAINES. :-) > > Where are you located - you could always speak to a doctor i see > because we are unique and it might help us get treatment! I AM IN OKLAHOMA - BUT... I WOULD BE WILLING TO TRAVEL ALMOST ANYWHERE TO GET SOME FIRM DIAGNOSTIC AND TREATMENT HELP. REALLY. I'M SERIOUS HERE! > > But do see your physician and and an endo about glucose > tolerance test, fasting test etc. WELL, MY GLUCOSE READINGS WHEN HOSPITALIZED HAVE BEEN WHACKY - BUT THAT HAS BEEN FOR AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER. HOWEVER, NEVER CONSISTENT WITH DIABETES. BASICALLY, JUST WHACKED OUT. IN FACT, WHEN I WAS HOSPITALIZED IN TULSA, THEY HAD THAT WHITE IV STUFF GOING IN AND WERE TESTING MY BLOOD SUGAR REGULARLY DUE TO THE RISK THAT IT COULD GO TOO HIGH. ONE DAY THEY SAID - YOU NEED TO DRINK SOME JUICE - TURNED OUT MY GLUCOSE WAS TOO LOW! I ASKED WHY - WHEN THE RISK WAS SUPPOSE TO BE 'TOO HIGH' OF A GLUCOSE LEVEL. THEY SIMPLY SAID (AS MOST DO) 'I DON'T KNOW'. THAT TIME, AFTER DRINKING A MINIMAL AMOUNT OF GRAPE JUICE - AND PROMPTLY EXPELLING IT - MY GLUCOSE SHOT UP. ANYWAY, BASED UPON SYMPTOMS, THEY'VE SUSPECTED DIABETES FOR OVER 10 YEARS - BUT HAVE NEVER HAD CONCLUSIVE TEST RESULTS. MONITORING MY OWN GLUCOSE LEVELS LATELY, I CAN UNDERSTAND. SEEMS TO VARY WITHOUT RHYME OR REASON! :-) ANY INPUT WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS, PAUL > > best wishes, > waverley
