Guest guest
Various drug companies offer programs to provide free or low-cost prescription drugs for those unable to afford them. See: http://www.needymeds.com I've included direct links to information on programs for several of the most common drugs used by MSA patients. A complete list of all drugs covered can be found at http://www.needymeds.com/drugs.html You must apply directly with the pharmaceutical company to take advantage of their program. ProAmatine (Midodrine) see: Shire Pharmaceuticals http://www.needymeds.com/Shire.html Florinef acetate see: King Pharmaceuticals http://www.needymeds.com/king.html Sinemet CR see Bristol-Myers Squibb http://www.needymeds.com/Bristol-Primary.html Regards, Pam ---------- The Problem In this country there are many millions of people with no health insurance. There are many more people who, even though they have insurance, don't have the money to buy their medications. There is help available for these people. The Solution Many drug manufacturers have what's called Patient Assistance Programs. These programs are designed to help those who can't afford their medicines obtain them at no cost or low cost. Unfortunately, many people, including doctors, nurses, social workers, and patients, don't know that these programs exist. Our goal is to solve this problem. Our website contains the latest, most complete, and most accurate information on patient assistance programs available. We regularly contact every drug company to check on the accuracy of our data. The information we have is obtained directly from the drug manufacturers. How You Can Help We have tried to be as accurate as possible. However, we can't be responsible for any errors or omissions. Sometimes the companies change their requirements, paperwork, or policies, or they are not consistent in the information they give out. In addition, they may add or delete drugs from their programs at any time. We depend on our users to help us keep the information current and complete. If you know about other drug assistance programs that we haven't included, or other sources of information that might be of interest to those in need of help, please send the information to Libby Overly. We are always looking for additional information to add the site. If you know of state, county, or city programs that help people obtain their drugs, we want to know about them. We also want to know if you have suggestions for others types of information for our site. Just contact Libby with your ideas and information. © 2002 NeedyMeds and Pediatrics for Parents, Inc.
