My name is Amy. I am 30 years old and had my open roux en y December

7, 1999. I weighed 243...got down to 170 right away (within 5

months) got pregnant and then very sick. I had to have 5 ultrasounds

to insure my baby's health wasn't being affected by my lack of weight

gain. I had a healthy baby boy who will be 2 February 2nd. Within

the last year ...I have 2 blood transfusions and iv iron once. My

hemoglobin was barely six when normal for a woman is 12-16. I had to

have a hysterectomy to help maintain a higher count. I had the iv

iron last april and have been holding my own since.

My main question is..I have regained weight since the birth of my

son. I cheat on my diet because I know I can. I lost so easily out

of fear of getting sick or hurting myself after having the surgery.

I am back up to 205 or so. Have you known anyone who has had a re-do?

Please let me know and thanks! I look forward to talking to you all.

Sincerly,

Amy H.

Probably the only thing you need to " redo " is go back to the eating

patterns you followed when you first lost the weight. A good post op

plan for getting and keeping weight off can be found in Pouch Rules for

Dummies at http://www.digitalhorsewoman.com/pouchrules.htm
