Guest guest
Another thought passed through my mind (yeah, mind like a steel sieve, that's me!) after I'd just hit the " send " button: one of the first things my surgeon told me on my first consult was that 95 - 99% of people who lose weight by dieting alone regain it all, plus about 10%. However, only about 25% of those who lose weight through RNY surgery regain it all. This puts my odds of regaining a lot lower than they have ever been in my life -- but it is no guarantee of anything. It just helps even the playing field a bit. These days, I have to watch my food intake and exercise output, the same way a thin woman would...but I have more of a chance of long-term success than I have ever had before. Does this make sense?
