Guest guest
Hi! It's been awhile since I have written. It has been a LONG road for me with all that has to be done for my surgery. I was wondering if anyone has ever had to have incisions made on the upper jaw between the three and four on both sides to lower down the upper teeth. When my OS put the molds together (having lower and upper surgery to correct open bite and under bite) the front teeth fit nicely but then in the back it was an open bite. So he is cutting the upper jaw in three segments, and lower the back teeth down just a tad. We are in the process of moving roots so there is space to do the cuts, but the chance of losing teeth is still a possiblity. I am more nervous now then ever. I have the surgical wire on the bottom, hooks on top and bottom while they try to make this last correction. My surgery date is July 14th and I am trying not to think of everything that can go wrong. Anyone out there have been through this or something similar? Any info much appreciated. Take Care, Lydia
