, thanks. No Rich and I have discussed this and putting it off is not a

good thing. I just want to make sure I have all the options in front of me

and KNOW that whoever is going to do the surgery knows what he or she is

doing. LOL I am looking forward to the day to just walk where ever and when

ever I want for as long as I want.... Just to go to the grocery store or

enjoy running in the park with my grandaughter.....Oh that would be heaven.

I am already on disability. Have been since 1997. Thanks for the concern

though.

I do have medicare, but don't use it because Rich has me on his insurance and

it is a PPO and I don't need referals.

I will keep the group posted as to what I decide.

hugs

, Well leave it to you kid to get neuromas in your feet.

By definition they are: a tumor growing out of a nerve or made up largely of nerve cells and nerve fibers. Many lesions formerly called neuromas are now given more specific names such as ganglioneroma, neurilemoma, or neurobrbroma.

Under the sub-heading for neuroma they list 17 different types.

And yes this can be RP related.

I think this would be a really good time to talk to an attorney about getting you on disability and Medicare. If each surgery is going to take you 6 months to heal you are talking a full year off. With not much chance of being able to work. That should qualify you. I know that is AZ, if my husband did not have insurance I would have received mine right away. But each state has some authority over it. It would be a good thing to check into.

Sorry to hear that it is nerve damage. I don't think putting it off to long would be a good thing. Do You?

Let me know if I can help.

Love

R.

Hi all, Well, I got my results on my MRI of my feet. I have tumors in my feet. They are neuromas. These are fatty tumors which are nerve tumors. As usual, mine aren't in the place that most are found. Mine are near the heel where the nerves meet and the muscles connect to the bone. Dr. has never seen one there. The radiologist report said they were extensive and were pressing on the nerves.

, can you tell me where to find that these are RP realated? I'd like

to take all the information I can to my dr. I can't seem to find it

anywhere, but I'm probably not looking in the right place.

Could they be in other parts of my body and I don't know it? I think this

would be useful information for the group.

I too would like to know if neuromas are linked to RP and if they can

be in other parts of the body. When I see my rhumatologist this next

week I will ask him.

Sounds like you had a good day yesterday, except for the grocery

shopping. That part doesn't appeal to me. But guess we all have to

eat. I could easily live on soup, but my guys won't go for that.
