Usually not Dental insurance, but Medical insurance is what you want.

Would you be interested in seeing the orthodontists and surgeons at a

dental school near you? They might be able to help you, and might

give you a lower rate if you'd be happy with students working on you.

They also might be able to steer you toward insurance companies that

are receptive to covering these procedures, in your area.

And certainly they could give you some idea of what procedures you're

likely to need, unless you already know.

There's nothing hurry-hurry about any of this. It usually takes a

while in braces before you're ready for surgery, anyhow, and it's not

always clear exactly what surgery will be required until the braces

get you closer to the time of actual surgery.

Generally dental insurance is the one you rely on for part of the

ortho, although you'll probably have to come up with at least a

couple of thousand dollars for the ortho. The medical insurance

sometimes covers the surgery itself.

Best,

Cammie

It's so hard to get insurance to pay.... Here is just one

suggestion.... if there is a dental school in your city ....Try them

it's a lot cheaper and honestly they do a great job.

Take care
