Guest guest
Hello and thank you to all of you who give so freely of your time and experience to help others. , , Bill, Debbie and many others have replied to my cries for help. I am trying to assimilate all the information and will be in touch a little later. went down with cramps in his feet and legs the night before last. He said it was like a charlie horse in both legs from the soles of his feet to the top of his thighs and it just wouldn't stop. He was in agony and I don't think he's felt well since. He will be going to the doctor about it and we've discussed him asking for a referral to another neurologist since he doesn't seem to be getting a lot of help at the moment. Hopefully it will work out. We are going to start some of the exercises recommended just on our own in the meantime. Thanks again and God bless you all Pat in NS
Guest guest
Pat in NS, Remember that cramps are a sign of low potassium also. Have they checked him for dehydration and blood chemistry? Guest guest
Greetings Pat! I use a muscle relaxant (Zanoflex) to help combat the same type of cramping. It can be very painful. Walking, stretching, etc helps for a while. But these cramps will reoccur. The muscle relaxant seems to be the only way to avoid the cramping for the long term. Do continue with 's referral. Finding the right doctor / neurologist - though difficult - should help. Best wishes to you both. Regards, =jbf= B. Fisher
