Hi all!

It's now been seven days since I had my upper / lower / genio /

dolby stereo surgery ;-)

I had small victory yesterday morning over the swelling. And now, today,

I can definitively see an improvement.

I've uploaded pictures on my Pbase account for you to view :

http://www.pbase.com/carbone/gallery/surgery

Today's firsts : more consistent stuff I was able to eat, like chicken (pureed,

of course, but without adding water!) I also completed my fourth box of

Jell-O. Today's last cup was grape. Tomorrow is blueblerry (perhaps even

tonight, for my evening snack).

Another first : a real, deep, pronounced, cigarette craving. I had one

yesterday,

but it passed quite quickly. This one lasted for an hour. What I would do when

this happen would be to brush my teeth with mint toothpaste... Not an option

now!

I had to be creative. I went shopping online. Didn't buy anything, but that

motivated me to continue to stop smoking as I had planned.

The numbness in my tongue seems to dissipate as well. It's hard to be

certain, but I could sware I now feel more teeth then before. I mean, I

feel more my own teeth, not that more were implanted during the surgery.. !

I quit also the codeine. That stuff wasn't for me. It's tough on my stomach,

gives me the hickup once every two doses and quite frankly, it's doing more

damage than good (dizzyness, sleepyness, etc.). Now, I feel things, I'm no

longer being controled. And the pain is manageable. That's ok.

The equilibrium problems are dissipating as well. The more I sleep, the more I

eat, the more they go away.

That's it for now. I'll be seing my surgeon tomorrow. And I'll report back

once

I have something new to tell.

Take care to all of you, but especially the June group! Hang in there, life is

gonna get better, pretttttttty soon!

Ray
