Guest guest
I've heard that Wal-Mart carries the insurance that covers WLS. If I had known this BEFORE my surgery....heh heh heh....but, I didn't :-( Barb B. When I was at Prudential you could qualify for full time benefits with a minimum 30 hour week. They had second shift customer service jobs that would work 5, 6-hour shifts a week qualifying for insurance. Good luck to her! She only wants to work part time, to be able to still be with her kids. She is looking for a company that she can buy into health insurance even at a part time rate. Any ideas?? In the land area. Thanks for your help. OH, and yes this is WLS related, she is obese, and wants to have surgery once her husband is back at work.
Guest guest
Ask your friend if she has a Costco in her area. If she does, have her try to get on with them. My husband has worked for them for 9 years now and I just started with them the first of November. They love having part-time workers and the starting pay is $10 per hour. The best thing is that after a certain amount of time (I forget how much), she will qualify for health insurance for both her and any other family members. And the two companies that provide the health insurance for Costco both cover wls, as long as it is medically necessary. We get full health insurance benefits along with dental coverage for my husband, myself, and our daughter and all it costs us is about $45 per month. They are a great company to work for if you can get on with them. Tell her good luck and my prayers are with her. Hugs, Jerri in MI
