Guest guest
<< Thursday through today he's been stimming A LOT more than normal, yesterday and today he had complete meltdowns at public gatherings from being in sensory overload. TIA.. >> Tia, I'm not sure about the diet part of it, but Birthday Parties are horrible for many Children with Sensory Integration Dysfunction. My best advice, is to try to limit this type of thing to a very small number of children, and keep them at home. My son could never handle a party at Mc's however much that broke my heart, but I would rather him miss out of something that should be a fun thing for him, because it was more like torture instead. Also the balloons at parties are bad for some kids, as well as the singing and all the cameras and such. That is his life, and with therapy he has been able to handle more and more. This will of course depend on ever child's situation. My best advice is to pick what he attends by what he can handle, not what he is invited too. Guest guest
I think when we take the " drugs " away from our children they begin to experience the world differently and they have to have time to learn new ways to deal with it. Before, they could tune out, space out easeir, dont seem to feel pain well etc. Now, they are more in tune, can feel pain and they have to learn to cope . It takes time. Plus he is in the middle of withdrawal. Probably a little crankier anyway. If he wasnt this way before, then he will go back to his old self soon I bet. Probably why he was happy to sit and eat your nuggets. Probably thought he was about to get his fix so he could he could deal with this excursion. haha. Good luck, keep up the hard work, it will pay off more than you can imagine, I have a question.. > We've been doing the gluten free diet since Monday and these last few > days have been horrible with .. Guest guest
Hello. I was wondering how much these operations cost? I have a slight problem with my jaw. Needs alittle alignment. Thank you.
Guest guest
It varies greatly from one place to another. In Quebec, it's covered by the government health care plan. So it's about 700 to 850 C$ (Canadian funds). In the rest of the world, I have no clue. Some Americans said it cost them 40,000$ You need first to visit a surgeon, and an ortho if you're not already under one's care. Then you'll get the whole picture. Start with the Orthodontist. If you live in a country where you have to ask permission to an insurance company before proceeding, those medical specialists will provide you with the estimated cost for each step of the threatment.
