Guest guest
About 6 years ago I was diagnosed with extremely bad TMJ. I went through the whole routine of xrays, mouth guards, etc., for about 4 years. Nothing was helping. About 2 years ago I happened to be at my chiropractors for a totally unrelated problem. I had written on the form that I have TMJ. During the course of the treatment, he adjusted my jaw and, I swear to God, I haven't had a problem since. (Knock on wood.) I can honestly say I spent thousands of dollars, but this one adjustment seemed to do the trick for ME. Not saying it would work for everyone, but it was totally unexpected and appreciated. T. Guest guest
Horray , for people who suffer with TMJ one little trip to a chiropractor is nothing. They are usually inexpensive and instead of spending thousands on dentists, which is not bad but now and then a chiropractor can help. Its worth one session to try it. My husband had major back and knee problems and after a few sessions is doing pretty good. Personally I'm scared to go because of my back surgery fusion and don't want that messed up. We all appreciate the great information. Love, Sue

It did help her alot, but was a major surgery and a dangerous one... Don't know if it runs in families or not. I posted earlier that I was told to use heat and ice, eat soft food and take an anti inflamatory.... Sorry I can't be much more help... I have had it so long, that I have just learned to live with it... It is soo painful I know... Maybe there is more that they can do now.... i haven't checked in years... All I know is that my jaws pop so loud when I eat, I could never run off and sneak food..LOL hugs
