Guest guest
Ah Judy, having been jewelry deprived this Christmas, I need details, details, details. Will have to live vicariously through you from now until my big " 40 " in a few weeks. Need every little detail. And if I don't get something gold and sparkly for my 40th I may be coming to see you, , ceep and so on. : ) Hell, after this year and this past week alone, I think I should come anyway. Only cried twice today. I think I'm getting better. : ) Gosh, lose all this weight and getting so mercenary in the process. Didn't realize this was part of the package. Unfortunately, neither did my husband. LOL Champagne tastes with a beer pocket book is not working out as nicely as it used to. Congrats. Guest guest
First I dooo understand about doing things backwards. LOL and I have been together for just a little over 3 years now. First he moved in with me .... Then he bought the ring...... Then he proposed (about 2 months after the ring).....and we had a " ceremony " with my parents on the cruise this last June. It wasn't a " wedding " ceremony (we can't marry because I would lose my military medical benefits......and you ALL know how important medical insurance is!!!) we just " renewed " our vows with my parents there! LOLOLOL At first, when he moved in......I was very suspicious. I had such a hard time trusting. I thought he just might be in it for my money. ROTFLMBO Well, I get a nice income ...... But am not rich by any stretch of the imagination. Was just my over active imagination going to town. For him it was love at first sight. It took him a LONG time to convince ME of this. I didn't believe it could happen. Well, it did. And I can't imagine life without him. He is everything my ex husband wasn't. Unfortunately for , he still has to deal with my occasional lack of faith, not to mention my depressions and anxiety attacks. You know......it is a good thing he loves me. Guest guest
I turned 52 this year! My only regret? That I didn't have wls years ago! I wasted so many years being morbidly obese! (or is 321 super-morbidly-obese? HHmm....) Anyway, yes life gets better & better! BARB B > > judy davison wrote: > > >By the way Regina, I just turned a fabulous 50. I buy myself $10 rings in all different colors, to go with different outfits (kinda like the shoe fetish we had going on here some time ago). They sparkle just fine and no one else seems to notice they're fake. Or if they do, they're just too polite to say so (grin). Guest guest
Carol: Really not into the costume stuff. I'm just a pain in the butt and would rather wait for the real thing. Must be something that happened when I was younger or in a previous life, because I'm not superficial or a snob, but when it comes to my jewelry, it has to be real. Have always been like that for some strange reason. It doesn't matter that nobody else would notice, I would know and makes me uncomfortable. The only thing I change on a regular basis that's not real are my watches. I have two gold ones, but have a bunch of other ones that I wear a lot more than I do the gold. Maybe should go see someone about this quirk of mine. I'm not like this with clothes. Don't go for designer stuff or expensive things. Thrill of my day is to find a bargain on a sweater or a nice pair of pants. I guess we all have our quirks. Unfortunately, mine is costly. LOL Thanks for the suggestion though. Guest guest
AHHHH Regina, I am a REAL jewelry girl too and feel that GOOD jewelry is worth waiting for. I got the biggest surprise of my life this Christmas..... bought me a diamond necklace. I was in total shock! Not to mention tears. He is thrilled, because his EX didn't do jewelry, didn't shop, didn't wear anything other the jeans. ME....well, I guess I am high maintanence. LOL I love my jeans, but am equally comfortable in skirts. Just depends on what I am doing that day. Mucking around with dogs....definately jeans, going shopping......depends on my mood.....could be jeans or could be skirts. Now that I can buy clothes just about anywhere......I am a real clothes horse too! Can never have too many clothes or too much jewelry. LOL OH YEAH and SHOES! And DOGS! Does it EVER end? ROTFLMBO!
