Guest guest
Hi Lou, I have to agree with everyone else about the low b/p readings. Not at all unusual for my sister Chrissie's b/p to be so low as not to be audible. Her pulse also was at times 40 until she had a pacemaker implanted. It is my understanding that unless salt tablets are added with the florinef, it has a hard time working. Does your husband take salt pills? My sister takes 3 salt pills a day and 4 florinef a day. I usually give her the last two florinef around 5 PM, but as late as 6 if she is staying up to 11 PM or so. Just recently the doctor has added midodrine to her list of pills. It acts as a jump start on the b/p. It kicks in within the hour and is fast acting where florinef is slow acting and lasts longer. Before salt was added to Chrissie's regime, she had excruciating headaches, now rarely complains. I hope this helps. Jean & Chrissie
